We’re busy getting ready to launch and it’s an exciting time. What started as frustration with soaps that go soft and mushy after one or two uses became a hobby, and then an obsession. We can only use so much soap, so we started a business.
As it happens, soap making is equal parts art and science. Saponification, superfat ratios, water discounts, and cure times all take time to learn. The answer to the question "why did this batch turn out different than last week’s" is almost always “science.”
We are keen to share everything we’ve been cooking up with you. So much so, in fact, we are running a pre-launch sale. Two of our rustic bundles of soap, limited quantities, are now available at a special price.
Each bundle has three of our small batch, handcrafted soaps on a wooden “ladder-style” soap dish. Each soap has a different fragrance, including our Sequim Lavender, a Grosso-style lavender grown and distilled right here on the Olympic Peninsula at one of the many lavender farms (side note: if you love lavender and you’ve never been to Sequim’s Lavender Festival, you’ll want to plan a trip. You’re welcome).
In the meantime, we’re making more soap, mixing up lip balm, beard balm, other products and harvesting and drying calendula, chamomile, rosemary, lavender, roses, and other botanicals for infusing oils or decorating our products.
