Seeing months of hard work come to fruition hits a little differently when you’re starting from scratch and deeply invested in what you’re making.
We make soap that's meant to be used.
Not because we don't appreciate beautiful soap—we absolutely do—but because, for us, the most important thing is what happens when you actually put the bar in your hands and step into the shower.
We want a bar that’s hard enough to hold up in the shower. One that doesn’t disappear after a handful of uses. One that cleans well without leaving your skin feeling stripped, and leaves it feeling conditioned and comfortable afterward.
Sometimes that means the color is simple, or simply the natural color of the ingredients. Sometimes the design is understated. Sometimes a batch tells you a little more about the hands that made it.
And we’re okay with that.
Because we’d rather have you use a bar for the first time and think: Oh. This is really good soap.
Then use it again. And again. And eventually wonder how the bar is still there.
That’s the kind of soap we want to make: thoughtfully formulated, hard-working, long-lasting bars made to be used.
